Yet again, Lynda.com is offering a totally free in-depth video course. This time it’s a walkthrough of 8 great new features for photographers now part of Adobe Photoshop CS6 each new feature, head on over to Lynda.com’s free course on Photoshop CS6 for Photographers taught by Chris Orwig.

Lynda.com rarely offers free content so take advantage of this (perhaps Adobe underwrites these free courses as this is the second one I know about CS6). Generally speaking, I recommend Lynda.com.

Here’s the eight topics you’ll find well covered:

  1. Improved Bridge and Mini-Bridge
  2. Adobe Camera Raw improvements
  3. More flexible layers panel
  4. New Blur Gallery
  5. Additional Content-Aware tools
  6. General image adjustment improvements
  7. Video editing in Photoshop
  8. New print dialogue

Of those improvements, inclusion of Adobe Camera Raw 7 might be the most important for Lightroom 4 users as it gives you full compatibility. With Photoshop CS5, you are stuck with Adobe Camera Raw 6.7 so round-tripping between the two apps is not so slick anymore. That’s pretty major.
